In contemporary societies, attention to the dignity and respect of retirees has gained increasing significance as one of the fundamental principles of human resource management. In this context, the Armed Forces Social Security Organization, with the goal of improving the quality of life for retirees and enhancing their satisfaction, requires the development of a management model based on a service-oriented approach in the shadow of honor. This research aims to design the optimal management model for the Armed Forces Social Security Organization with a "service in the shadow of honor" approach. The research employs a mixed-methods approach, utilizing both quantitative and qualitative methods concurrently. The statistical population of this study consists of employees and retirees of the Armed Forces Social Security Organization, from which 300 individuals were selected as the sample. Data were collected through standardized questionnaires and semi-structured interviews. The data were analyzed using descriptive and inferential statistical methods, with the reliability of the research instrument confirmed by a Cronbach’s alpha coefficient of 0.985. The findings revealed that the optimal management model of the Armed Forces Social Security Organization, based on the service in the shadow of honor approach, includes four main dimensions in the areas of governance and policymaking, retirees of the Armed Forces, children of retirees, and intelligent systems. The results also emphasize the necessity of enhancing the level of respect and addressing the specific needs of retirees.
