The purpose of this research is to identify and measure the factors affecting the social responsibility of the gas company of Tehran province using a mixed method. A semi-structured interview was used to collect data, and 27 managers and internal and external experts of the company were selected by purposive sampling, and the interviews continued until the theoretical saturation of the research data. To identify the factors affecting the social responsibility of the gas company of Tehran province, the theme analysis method and MAXQDA2020 software were used, and finally 8 comprehensive themes, 50 organizing themes extracted from 870 basic themes were identified. After identifying the main themes, a questionnaire to measure the social responsibility of the company was distributed among 53 managers and experts of the company, collected and analyzed by confirmatory factor analysis method using SmartPLS software. Factors affecting the social responsibility of the gas company of Tehran province were identified and measured in eight categories: principles of responsibility, corporate governance, citizen rights, work activities of employees, environment, legal operational activities, issues related to customers and community participation and development. Meanwhile, the factors of citizenship rights and corporate governance and legal operational activities had the highest factor loading and explanatory coefficient.
