Abstract

The present study aims at introducing the monuments of sacred defense as a system and recognizing its elements. Doing so, it exploits a semi-structured interview with the related experts of Nur Caravan and Thematic Analysis. The outcome of the study suggests that monument resembles an open system which accepts inputs in interaction with the surrounding environment and to reach the desired outputs, it organizes some processes. The monument system includes 91 elements which are classified in 18 issues and divided in 6 main dimensions as: resources (finance, human, capital, knowledge and moral), inputs (accepting and role creating), processes (culture and service), outputs (within and out of system), monument management (provision of resources, resource mobilization, planning and organizing, leadership and control), and environmental factors (local, national and international).
