Abstract
The purpose of the research is to determine whether the performance of the armed forces in the field of health and medical treatment is in accordance with the goals set in the International Covenant on Economic and Social Rights and international documents within the defined standards.
Therefore, health and wellness are among the most important goals and rights in this international covenant. In the field of health and wellness in Iran, one of the most important institutions that should be examined in this context is the armed forces, because these forces are one of the most important organizations and security foundations of the country, and given that they cover a significant portion of the nation, the facilities and functions regarding health and wellness in the structure of these forces should be considered. The research method in this study is descriptive-analytical. The findings indicate that challenges can be considered in four cases: 1- An organization with a specific structure approved by the Department of Health and Medical Education specifically for the Armed Forces, 2- The structure of health insurance and health centers and specialized and super-specialized hospitals in the Armed Forces. 3- Problems in the field of its medical centers due to the job and assigned duties. 4- Executive procedures and practices that are not in harmony with the approved goals and laws, and therefore ultimately moving away from the goals set forth in national laws, covenants and international documents. However, considering the provision of more prominent services in this institution than in national medical centers, but affected by the general problems of the country, there is a significant difference in practice defined by the standards and in compliance with the goals and approvals of the international covenant.
