Abstract
Crisis are inevitable events in modern era life. This applied research that conducted in descriptive (survey) method aimed to examine the effect of strategy and public participation on crisis management effectiveness. Statistical population is Consist of University of Zanjan’s staff and students as well as their contacts in social media networks. For data collection, questionnaire was used which its content validity and reliability was validated. The questionnaires were distributed electronically. Data analysis performed by using SPSS and Structural Equation Modelling (SEM) analysis with Smart PLS. Findings show that there is a significant correlation among all variables, and crisis management strategy alone can explain 70 percent of dependent variable variance (crisis management effectiveness). In addition, the effect of strategy and public participation on crisis management effectiveness were significant. The impact of crisis management strategy public participation on was also significant. But the mediating role of public participation in the relationship between crisis management and its effectiveness didn’t Approved. Having a clear strategy for crisis management can have a significant effect on its effectiveness. Formulating a proactive strategy for crisis management can have an effective role on the effectiveness of crisis management. It seems that increasing public participation can guarantee the success of crisis management strategy implementation
